CardRate is an information and comparison service. We help hospitality businesses compare UK card payment providers and, where you choose, introduce you to a provider or pass on your details so they can set up your account.

We are nota financial adviser, broker, or payment services provider. We don't provide regulated advice, and nothing on the Site is a personal recommendation for your specific circumstances. You're responsible for deciding whether a provider is right for you, and for reading that provider's own contract before signing.

We earn a commission from card payment providers — typically a one-off introduction fee and/or an ongoing share of processing — when a merchant signs up through CardRate. We earn from every provider listed, which is precisely why our ranking is by merchant fit and not by who pays us most. Our methodology sets out exactly how the ranking works.

The rates, fees and features shown are based on each provider's pricing for typical hospitality merchant profiles at the volumes you enter. They are indicative. Your final pricing is set by the provider once they review your business details, and may differ from what's shown here.

We take care to keep our data current and re-verify it periodically, but we don't warrant that everything on the Site is complete, accurate or up to date at all times. Always check the provider's own published terms and your final contract before committing.

Providers listed on the Site are independent businesses. We're not responsible for their products, pricing, service, contracts or conduct, and we're not a party to any agreement you enter with them. Any dispute about a provider's service is between you and that provider. Links to provider sites are provided for convenience and don't constitute an endorsement beyond our published ranking.

You agree not to:

• use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms;
• scrape, copy, or systematically extract content or data from the Site without our written permission;
• interfere with the Site's operation or security, or attempt to gain unauthorised access;
• submit false information, or someone else's details without their permission.

The Site, its content, branding, and the ranking methodology are owned by or licensed to CardRate and protected by intellectual property law. You may view and share the Site for your own business use, but you may not reproduce, republish or commercially exploit it without our written permission. Provider names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used to identify those providers.

We provide the Site “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from your reliance on indicative rates or your decision to use a particular provider.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be excluded under the law of Scotland. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with the Site is limited to £100.

If we've given you an embed of the CardRate wizard for your own site, you may use it only as supplied, on the domain(s) we've agreed, and you must not alter its tracking or disclosures. We may withdraw an embed at any time.

We may update these terms from time to time; the “last updated” date shows when. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may also change or withdraw any part of the Site without notice.

These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
